Main Street Medina Premiers 3rd Collectible Holiday Ornament

.(Medina, Ohio- September 22, 2011) –Main Street Medina announced today that the 2011 Holiday Ornament, the 3rd in an ongoing series, is now available in limited supply at Gramercy Gallery, Miss Molly’s Tea Room & Gift Shop, Whitey’s Army Navy store, and the Medina County Convention & Visitors Bureau. The 2011 ornament features the historic 1841/1873 Medina County Courthouse in a three-dimensional design, with a tarnish resistant finish, and is attractively gift boxed for gift giving. The ornaments are $20 each, cash or check.

The Courthouse is an icon for the community and the county. Recently, the County Courthouse has been in the news for its ongoing renovations, particularly straightening the leaning bell tower. Main Street Medina and the Medina Community Design Committee are partnering to identify and secure funding to help pay for the nearly $700,000 needed in external preservations issues, including the straightening of the clock tower and the restoration of other historic elements.

The first of ornament of the series, the much loved Uptown Gazebo, was introduced in 2009 to celebrate the silver anniversary/25th year of the Candlelight Walk. The first minting sold out, and a very limited second run is available. In 2010, Main Street Medina celebrated the historic Town Hall and Engine House from the South side of the Square on the ornament. Both of these items may be purchased at the stores named above
